Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marion Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rankka Ankka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobretti's entrance music is Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the moon. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ankka's choice of entrance music: Milk - The Knife Song. And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Rankka Ankka!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobretti misses with a double jab
and Ankka counters with a solid body kick.
Nice straight punches there by Cobretti. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cobretti.
Ankka moves away from the strike by Cobretti.
Cobretti throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ankka's waist but Ankka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cobretti off to one side.
Cobretti shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ankka defends it nicely.

Cobretti throws a looping overhand right but Ankka ducks down to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cobretti has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ankka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cobretti.
Ankka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cobretti shoots in for a double leg but Ankka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ankka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cobretti looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ankka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cobretti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ankka has managed to get both his arms back between Cobretti's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ankka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Let's hope that Ankka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ankka walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cobretti drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Ankka swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cobretti's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
