Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lands a two punch combo.
Drens walks into a left hand.

Diaz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drens keeps working.

Diaz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Drens's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drens is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drens tries to roll over but Diaz keeps him under control.

Diaz is looking for a kimura but Drens is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage.

Diaz working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Drens is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea.
Drens is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Diaz is working for a guillotine from mount but Drens frees his head quite easily.
Drens keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Drens bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Diaz pushes a forearm under Drens's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Drens is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Nick Diaz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
