Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silas Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Deupreaux!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deupreaux fails to land with a series of punches.
Storm misses with a leg kick
and Deupreaux counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Deupreaux pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Storm tries to close the distance and clinch up but Deupreaux swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Deupreaux lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Storm circles away quickly and effectively.
Deupreaux keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Deupreaux misses with a series of wild punches.
Storm is looking to clinch.
Storm wants to clinch up but Deupreaux keeps it at a distance.

and Deupreaux counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Storm's guard now.

Deupreaux drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Storm manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Deupreaux has Storm in his guard.

Deupreaux looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Storm has picked Deupreaux up and slammed him! Deupreaux can't keep hold of the triangle and Storm manages to pass to side control!

Deupreaux's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Silas Storm will probably get the nod.

Storm has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Deupreaux is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
