Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Hatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Von Prawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Prawn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hatt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hatt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Von Prawn was covering up waiting for the punch and Hatt finishes the takedown easily into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Von Prawn doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Von Prawn has his foot on Hatt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hatt works his way back into a safe position though.

Von Prawn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hatt throws an elbow that misses. Von Prawn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hatt's guard. Nice move by Von Prawn!
Hatt has Von Prawn pulled in close to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Von Prawn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hatt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Von Prawn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hatt has Von Prawn pulled in close to control his posture.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hatt lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Von Prawn! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hatt jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

After the fight, Brett Hatt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
