The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holm scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Holm throwing shots but Convents is blocking nicely.

Holm wants to take a breather but Convents is having none of it.
Holm stops Convents from getting back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Convents is not content to let Holm control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Convents has Holm up against the cage in a clinch.

Convents stops a takedown attempt from Holm.

Convents breaks from the clinch.
Convents throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Nikon Holm has been cut.
Holm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Convents fails in his attempt to clinch.
Convents lands a big head kick that sends Holm to the canvas! Convents follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
