The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guruma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stinkfist shoots in and drives through. Guruma sprawls well.
Stinkfist throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Stinkfist decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Guruma's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stinkfist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Guruma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stinkfist doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stinkfist manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Guruma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stinkfist can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stinkfist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guruma tries to avoid it but Stinkfist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guruma to the ground. Guruma escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stinkfist closes the distance and clinches up with Guruma, looking for a takedown. Stinkfist pushes Guruma against the cage but Guruma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobcat Stinkfist will probably get the nod.
