Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ami Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stamatis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lose Yourself. Dent has chosen DJ Madman - Meisje zo lelijk als de nacht as his entrance music. Ami Dent has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dent throws a right hand that misses
and Stamatis counters with an inside leg kick.
Stamatis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dent looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dent shoots for a takedown but Stamatis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dent chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dent doesn't manage to clinch there - Stamatis circles away.
Stamatis walks into a stiff left hand from Dent.
Dent is looking to clinch but Stamatis is avoiding it.
Stamatis throws a leg kick but Dent sees it coming and moves out of range.
Stamatis feints and then cracks Dent's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dent down.

Dent misses with a wild combination.
Dent throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stamatis on the side of the head.

Dent closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stamatis did well to prevent Dent getting side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stamatis gets a takedown into half guard.

Dent pushes Stamatis off and gets back to his feet.
Dent on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stamatis. Stamatis obviously looking to wear him down.

Stamatis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dent isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stamatis stacks Dent on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stamatis!

Dent rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stamatis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stamatis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
