Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marty Laguna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Brunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Marty Laguna has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marty Laguna seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laguna jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brunner wants to clinch up but Laguna keeps it at a distance.
Brunner doesn't manage to clinch there - Laguna circles away.
Brunner wants to clinch.
Brunner throws a lazy head kick
and Laguna counters with a right hand to the body.

Laguna tries to keep at a distance but Brunner has taken the fight into the clinch.
Laguna scores with a shot to the side of Brunner's head.
Brunner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Laguna is pressed up against the cage. Brunner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Laguna down to the mat. Laguna avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brunner slips a jab and a cross from Laguna.
Mike Brunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Laguna throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brunner moves to clinch but Laguna breaks away
and Laguna counters with a stiff right hand.

Brunner misses with a jab to the body
and Laguna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Laguna circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brunner looks for a takedown but Laguna sprawls well.

Laguna tries to keep at a distance but Brunner has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brunner manages to break the clinch.
Brunner wants to clinch but Laguna slips to the side
and Laguna counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brunner thinking.
Laguna stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Brunner wants to clinch but Laguna slips to the side
and Laguna counters with a one-two to the body.
Brunner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laguna tries to avoid it but Brunner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laguna to the ground. Laguna escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marty Laguna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Brunner.
Brunner throws a lazy uppercut
and Laguna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Brunner is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brunner misses with a few strikes there.
Brunner is still on wobbly legs! Can Laguna finish him?
Marty Laguna is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brunner dives in and grabs Laguna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laguna pushes down on Brunner's head and hops out.

Brunner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laguna sprawls well. Laguna wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brunner gets slowly back to his feet.
Laguna lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Brunner goes down and covers up as Laguna starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marty Laguna!
