Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lobsta Mang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mang comes to the cage accompanied by B.O.B.. Norton has chosen Land downunder - Men at work as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Norton stuns Mang with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Norton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mang drives through with a takedown into Norton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mang jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Norton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Norton and Mang has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Mang is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Norton has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mang tries to move into full mount but can't pass Norton's legs.
Norton is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Mang throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Mang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Norton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mang cracks Norton with a big elbow.

You can see the frustration on Norton's face as Mang controls the position.
Lobsta Mang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Norton pushes Mang away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mang gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mang looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Norton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Norton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mang throws out the jab.
