Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wolfen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juho Pennanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Wolfen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juho Pennanen!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pennanen pinned against the cage. Pennanen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pennanen stuffs the takedown attempt from Wolfen. Wolfen gets slowly back to his feet.
Pennanen with a nice cross.
Pennanen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wolfen shoots for a double leg takedown but Pennanen sprawls well. He's pushed Wolfen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Wolfen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pennanen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wolfen throws a sloppy head kick
and Pennanen counters with a left and a right that stings Wolfen.
Wolfen just misses with a punch to the body.
Wolfen shoots in looking for a takedown. Pennanen tries to sprawl out of it but Wolfen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pennanen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wolfen shoots in but Pennanen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A lazy left from Pennanen finds it's target.
Nice body kick from Pennanen.
Pennanen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Pennanen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pennanen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pennanen closes the distance and pushes Wolfen back into the cage.
Wolfen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pennanen has him pressed against the cage.
Pennanen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Nice body punch from Pennanen.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pennanen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wolfen backwards.
Pennanen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Pennanen misses with a punch on the inside.
Wolfen manages to break the clinch.
Frank Wolfen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolfen tries to clinch up.
Pennanen misses with a two punch combination.
Pennanen connects with a crisp jab.
Pennanen connects with a leg kick. Wolfen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Pennanen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wolfen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wolfen shoots in and drives through. Pennanen sprawls well.
A shot to the body from Wolfen misses
and Pennanen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wolfen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wolfen is breathing heavily.
Pennanen lands with a kick to the ribs.
Jab, jab by Pennanen - just one landing.
Wolfen throws a leg kick which misses Pennanen's front leg but catches the back leg as Pennanen tries to avoid it.
Pennanen misses with the combination.
Pennanen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pennanen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wolfen.
Pennanen lands a leg kick that knocks Wolfen off balance momentarily.
Pennanen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wolfens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wolfen shoots in for a double leg but Pennanen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pennanen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pennanen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wolfen back to the cage. Pennanen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pennanen tests Wolfen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Wolfen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Wolfen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Wolfen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wolfen misses with the body kick
and Pennanen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pennanen tries to clinch up.
Wolfen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wolfen shoots in for a takedown but Pennanen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pennanen is looking to slow Wolfen down with leg kicks.
Pennanen connects with a solid leg kick.
A lazy left from Pennanen finds it's target.
Wolfen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Pennanen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Pennanen lands a front kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wolfen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Pennanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wolfen manages to avoid it.
Wolfen shoots in but no luck this time.
Wolfen wants to land a leg kick but Pennanen is out of range.
Wolfen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pennanen. Pennanen obviously looking to wear him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wolfen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Pennanen.
Pennanen lands a head kick. Wolfen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A low kick from Wolfen is predictable there
and Pennanen counters with a leg kick.
Pennanen lands a left and a right that send Wolfen crashing to the mat, dazed. Pennanen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wolfen is rocked!
Pennanen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oh Wolfen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pennanen gets a clinch.
Wolfen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Still in the clinch, Pennanen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Pennanen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pennanen drops Wolfen with a huge uppercut! Wolfen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Pennanen is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juho Pennanen!
A very excited looking Juho Pennanen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
