Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichiro Yamamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cees Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn scores with a hook to the body. Yamamoto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Yamamoto throws a head kick that misses.
Gunn gets caught flat footed, as Yamamoto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Yamamoto has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gunn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Yamamoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Gunn is retaining full guard.
Yamamoto is looking to stand up but Gunn won't let him.
Yamamoto stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Yamamoto takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Ichiro Yamamoto has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yamamoto looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gunn misses with a two punch combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Yamamoto takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Yamamoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice body kick there by Yamamoto.
Yamamoto tries to clinch but Gunn is having none of it.
Yamamoto lands with a kick to the temple. Gunn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
No luck for Yamamoto with that takedown attempt.
No joy there for Gunn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gunn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Yamamoto is rocked!

Gunn grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Yamamoto takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Gunn cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
