Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Deeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deeney has chosen When We Ride as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eddy Matsui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Deeney!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsui misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Matsui looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Matsui closes the distance and clinches up with Deeney, looking for a takedown. Matsui pushes Deeney against the cage but Deeney circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddy Matsui. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body kick from Deeney.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Matsui.
A big right from Matsui misses.
Deeney connects with an inside leg kick.
Deeney lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Matsui connects with a leg kick. Deeney looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Matsui scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Deeney doesn't seem bothered though.
Deeney bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matsui looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deeney is fending him off so far but Matsui persists. Nope, Deeney circles away and we're back to standing.

Eddy Matsui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deeney fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Matsui.
Matsui walks forward, straight into a front kick from Deeney.
Mark Deeney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Matsui is breathing heavily.

Deeney looks for the body kick but Matsui saw that one coming.
Deeney lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Deeney thuds his shin into the meat of Matsui's side.

Deeney will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Matsui up against the cage.

Matsui has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Deeney after a bit of a struggle.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Matsui. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Deeney manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Deeney comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Matsui has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Deeney avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mark Deeney seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Matsui avoids a wild elbow strike from Deeney.

Deeney jerks Matsui's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Matsui drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Deeney goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Deeney because Matsui was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Mark Deeney!
Mark Deeney decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
