Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Gi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Lirette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lirette has chosen Hear Me Now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Travis Lirette is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lirette fails to land with a series of punches.

Gi gets tackled into the cage by Lirette. Lirette maintains the clinch.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Gi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gi wants to pass the guard but Lirette is keeping the position.

Lirette is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gi defends well.

Lirette is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gi is aware though and is defending well.

Lirette working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gi drops back looking for a leg! Lirette is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lirette manages to kick Gi off! Gi jumps back into Lirette's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lirette is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lirette has managed to free his arm - good work.

Gi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lirette could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gi has cracked it and Lirette is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gi!
