Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cypress Hill - Tequila Sunrise kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesus Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sanchez. That one must have hurt.
Diaz lands with a cross.
Oscar Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diaz misses with an uppercut. Sanchez saw that one coming.
Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diaz dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.
Sanchez throws a jab but it's blocked by Diaz.

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Diaz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jesus Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Sanchez connects with a solid leg kick.
Sanchez throws a series of strikes that have Diaz backpedaling.
Diaz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sanchez.
Some wild striking there from Sanchez.
Sanchez throws a leg kick which misses Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Diaz tries to avoid it.
Danga de danga de dang - Diaz scores with a four punch combination!
Sanchez moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sanchez blocks a jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a straight right.
Sanchez cracks the inside of Diaz's front leg.
Diaz throws a big shot that misses.
Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss

and Diaz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.

Sanchez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Diaz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sanchez escapes and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Diaz manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sanchez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Diaz has a takedown stuffed.
Sanchez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Diaz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
