Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Sagas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Ware could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bruno Sagas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcus Ware!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruno Sagas!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware stuffs the takedown.
Ware throws a lazy uppercut
and Sagas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sagas misses with a looping right.
Sagas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sagas tries to clinch but Ware moves out of range.
Marcus Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sagas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ware's waist but Ware gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sagas off to one side.
Sagas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ware tries to avoid it but Sagas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ware to the ground. Ware escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marcus Ware has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Sagas.
Ware keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ware stuffs the takedown.
Sagas tries to close the distance and clinch but Ware swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sagas moves into the clinch.

Ware wants the takedown. Sagas is fighting it off but Ware persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sagas's guard against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ware stands and steps away. Sagas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ware stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ware wants it to stay on the feet.
Sagas looks gassed!

Ware lands a big head kick that sends Sagas tumbling to the mat! Ware takes a step backwards and waves Sagas back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bruno Sagas has been cut.
Ware swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ware fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ware rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sagas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sagas just misses with a punch to the body.

Ware clinches.
Ware misses with an elbow strike.
Ware stalling in the clinch.

Ware pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ware scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Ware drops Sagas with a beautiful combination! Sagas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ware is looking for the KO!

Sagas is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ware moves into the clinch.
Sagas is still on wobbly legs! Can Ware finish him?
Nice body punch from Ware - that landed with a thud.

Ware pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Sagas.
Ware throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marcus Ware is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sagas is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Ware just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Sagas has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marcus Ware!
