PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myron Obusan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obusan has chosen Frontlines by Diabolic feat. Immortal Technique as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbossa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Obusan tries to avoid it but Barbossa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Obusan to the ground. Obusan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Obusan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barbossa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Obusan wants to stand but Barbossa is controlling the position.
Barbossa is working Obusan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Obusan wants to get back to his feet but Barbossa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Barbossa wants to control from the top but Obusan keeps moving.

Barbossa stands up and waves to Obusan to follow him.

Barbossa shoots in looking for a takedown but Obusan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Barbossa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Barbossa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barbossa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Obusan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barbossa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
