The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mifsud stuffs the takedown attempt from St Pierre. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.
Mifsud throws a quick inside leg kick.

St Pierre shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mifsud is trying to defend but St Pierre finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

St Pierre is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mifsud doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time St Pierre.

St Pierre is working to tighten is grip on Mifsud's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mifsud has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but St Pierre is really squeezing tight and eventually Mifsud passes out! St Pierre breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
