Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Tony Chopper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Parks!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chopper misses with a body shot.
Parks waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chopper.
Parks slips a jab and a cross from Chopper.
Chopper connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Parks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chopper closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like John Parks has been cut.

Chopper tries to sprawl but Parks drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Parks looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Parks trying to pass the guard but Chopper defending well.
Chopper wants to control but Parks passes into side.
Chopper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parks on the ground.
Parks takes a little break here. Chopper wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Chopper tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parks controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Parks was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Chopper lands with a nice combination. Parks backs away looking to recover.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chopper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chopper throws a series of strikes that have Parks backpedaling.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Parks tries to move into range but Chopper moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Parks feints and as Chopper raises his hands in defense, Parks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Parks stays in close to Chopper's body and controls the position.
Chopper keeping full guard, as Parks tries to pass.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Parks wasn't active enough on the ground.
Chopper jabs Parks to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Parks looks gassed!
Parks tries to clinch up.
Parks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Chopper has Parks up against the cage in a clinch.
Parks is stalling here.
Chopper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Parks breaks from the clinch.
Parks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chopper misses with a few strikes there.
Chopper throws a nice looking combination but Parks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Parks comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Parks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Parks looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Chopper trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Parks manages to pass to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on John Parks's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Parks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chopper to the ground. Parks is now in Chopper's guard.
Parks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chopper's guard.
Parks throwing shots but Chopper is blocking nicely.

Parks is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Parks throws a strike but Chopper avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Parks controls from within his opponent's guard.
Parks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chopper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parks trying to control the position from guard on top but Chopper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Parks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chopper is keeping the position for now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Parks controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Chopper digs a good body shot into Parks's ribs.
Parks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Parks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chopper misses with a double jab.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Parks closes the distance and pushes Chopper back into the cage.

Parks has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chopper regains guard immediately.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chopper looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Parks should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Chopper throws his legs up looking for a submission but Parks uses it to pass to side control.
Parks is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Parks has an Americana. Chopper didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Parks is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Parks hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
