PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bon Joy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Incubus Foo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joy comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Breathe. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Joy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Joy lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Even with his hooks in, Joy manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Joy is striking well from the back but Foo escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.

Joy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Joy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Joy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Foo has left one of his arms exposed and Joy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Foo screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
