The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braun tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva is looking to clinch but Braun is avoiding it.

Braun clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Braun pushes Silva back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Braun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Braun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Braun throws an elbow but Silva slips to the side and avoids it well.

Braun creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Silva sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Braun wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Braun slows the pace down.

Braun works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Braun is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
