PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arto Bambang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bambang's entrance music is Suicidal Tendencies - Nobody Hears. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, John Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bambang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Meyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Bambang finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bambang trying to control but Meyer is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bambang is aware though and is defending well.
Bambang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Meyer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bambang defends it easily.
Bambang advances position into side control!
Bambang postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Meyer being controlled for a moment.

Bambang is trying to get an arm triangle but Meyer is defending well.
Meyer tries to improve position but can't.
Bambang passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Meyer!

Meyer tries to improve his position but instead Bambang has taken his back!

Bambang is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Meyer has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Bambang has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Meyer taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Bambang doesn't care though - he's delighted!
