Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Holding Out For A Hero (Japanese Version). Harrell has chosen J. Cole - Blow Up as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Harrell throws a front kick aimed at Hashimoto's knee but Hashimoto avoids it well.
Hashimoto lands a head kick. Harrell smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Harrell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harrell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hashimoto connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hashimoto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harrell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Harrell looks to land a body kick but Hashimoto moved away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Harrell.
Hashimoto dives in and grabs Harrell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harrell pushes down on Hashimoto's head and hops out.

A lull in the action here.
Hashimoto tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Harrell presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Harrell misses with a head shot.
Hashimoto keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Harrell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Harrell trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Harrell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hashimoto is trying desperately to improve position.
Hashimoto is trying to reverse the position but instead Harrell has taken his back - oops!
You can see the frustration on Hashimoto's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Harrell is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hashimoto knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hashimoto for a finish.
Hashimoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harrell controlling well, preventing Hashimoto from escaping the position.

Hashimoto tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Keiji Hashimoto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hashimoto tries to lock up and control but Harrell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harrell throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hashimoto because Harrell loaded up on that one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keiji Hashimoto.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hashimoto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
