The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Page gets caught flat footed, as Palmares shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Palmares might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Palmares wants to control from the top but Page keeps moving.
Palmares with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Palmares trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Page is looking to stand back up but Palmares counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Page.
Page is trying to get back to full guard.
Page wants to get back to his feet.
Palmares passes to side control.
Palmares throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Page is trying to control Palmares's posture but Palmares avoids it.
Page is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Page tries to improve position but can't.

Palmares wants to lay and pray for a moment but Page keeps working.
Page is looking to reverse the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Palmares cracks Page with a big right hand but Page just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Palmares thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Palmares has hold of Page's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Page seems comfortable defending it but Palmares has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Page is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Page is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Palmares couldn't care less - he's delighted!
