Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton closes the distance and clinches up with Shi, looking for a takedown. Orton pushes Shi against the cage but Shi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Orton is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Orton is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shi gets his way!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I really don't envy Orton right now.

Shi feints and as Orton raises his hands in defense, Shi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Shi content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Leo Shi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Shi gets caught napping as Orton dives in and scores a takedown. Shi manages to retain guard.
Orton wants to stand and escape but instead Shi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Shi wants to control from the top but Orton keeps moving.
Shi stands and throws Orton's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Shi works to advance to full mount. Orton defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Orton is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shi is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
