The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wandlov throws a head kick but Martinez moves out of range.
Martinez tries for a takedown but Wandlov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Martinez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wandlov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wandlov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wandlov wants it to stay on the feet.

Martinez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Martinez has hold of Wandlov's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wandlov seems comfortable defending it but Martinez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wandlov is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wandlov is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Martinez couldn't care less - he's delighted!

In his post fight interview, Hugo Martinez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
