Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Griffiths (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lombard has chosen Retaliator as his entrance music. Kieran Griffiths has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Lombard counters with a takedown into side control.
Lombard takes a little break here. Griffiths wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Let's hope that Lombard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jacoby Lombard hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Griffiths tries to sprawl but Lombard drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lombard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lombard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Griffiths is trying to stand back up but Lombard is controlling him
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jacoby Lombard.
Griffiths on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Lombard tries to keep at a distance but Griffiths has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lombard lands a right hand that snaps the head of Griffiths backwards.

Lombard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Griffiths is posturing up here but Lombard has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Griffiths tries to roll out but it's too tight and Griffiths has to tap! Slick submission there by Lombard!
