Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Ducca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Byrkjelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Byrkjelo's choice of entrance music: Skindred, no body. Damien Byrkjelo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ducca misses with a kick to the body.

Byrkjelo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Byrkjelo wants to stand up but Ducca is controlling the position.

Byrkjelo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ducca defends it well.

Byrkjelo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ducca throws a wild body kick that Byrkjelo sees coming a mile off.

Byrkjelo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ducca's guard.

It looks like Byrkjelo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Damien Byrkjelo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Byrkjelo lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Ducca out cold! Ducca is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
