Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murilo Hartmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murilo Hartmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hartmann avoids it really well and circles away.
Hartmann tries to clinch but Dos Santos moves out of range.
Hartmann bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dos Santos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hartmann closes the distance and clinches.

Hartmann jumps guard and drags Dos Santos to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hartmann is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hartmann ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hartmann no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hartmann wants to get back to his feet but Dos Santos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hartmann on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hartmann tries to get out of the position.
Hartmann utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hartmann is on top in guard.
Dos Santos wants to stand but Hartmann is controlling the position.

Dos Santos drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hartmann gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Murilo Hartmann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Dos Santos.

Hartmann's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hartmann closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hartmann lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dos Santos backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hartmann pushes Dos Santos off and gets back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Hartmann has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dos Santos uses from the top position.

Dos Santos has his hands clasped together but Hartmann extends an breaks Dos Santos's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hartmann.
