Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patterson Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz has chosen RAWR as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Patterson Ortiz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Grayson Carlyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patterson Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ortiz rushes Carlyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Carlyle is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ortiz is defending well.
Ortiz misses with an elbow strike.
Ortiz trying to stall but Carlyle improves his position.
Ortiz stops a takedown attempt from Carlyle.
Carlyle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ortiz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ortiz wants to break free but Carlyle has control.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Ortiz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Ortiz pulls Carlyle in close to prevent any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ortiz moves into the clinch.
Ortiz lands an elbow inside that Carlyle shrugs off.
Carlyle has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ortiz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ortiz has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Ortiz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Carlyle kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ortiz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Carlyle is looking for a triangle here but Ortiz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Ortiz is trying to ground and pound but Carlyle uses the momentary lack of control by Ortiz to regain half guard.
Ortiz wants to advance to full mount but Carlyle doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Ortiz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Carlyle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ortiz, into his guard.
Carlyle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ortiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Carlyle is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ortiz scores with a couple of nice shots.

Ortiz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Carlyle tightens his grip and picks Ortiz up, before dumping him to the ground. Ortiz manages to land in guard.

Carlyle goes for a takedown attempt but Ortiz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
