PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Madison Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Heinola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, donald wheres your troosers. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heinola paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Heinola lands a left and a right that send Grant crashing to the mat, dazed. Heinola thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Madison Grant has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heinola throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Heinola throws a right and a left that both miss.
Heinola throws a head kick that misses.

Grant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Heinola's guard.
Heinola is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Grant wants to control from the top but Heinola keeps moving.

Heinola wriggles free and stands up.
Grant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Heinola circles away quickly and effectively.
Grant tries to clinch but Heinola moves out of range.
Grant takes one to the chin there.

Madison Grant's cut is getting worse.
A punch lands to the side of Grant 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Heinola throws a series of punches but Grant avoids them all with ease.
Markus Heinola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grant avoids the head kick by Heinola.
Heinola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grant manages to avoid it.
Grant fails with the takedown.
Heinola tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grant fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Grant takes a kick to the side of the head.

Madison Grant's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Heinola misses the jab.
Markus Heinola is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Heinola loads up on a big right hand but Grant slips the punch.
Heinola lands with a slapping head kick.

Jeez, Madison Grant's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Madison Grant's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
