Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sauna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers tries a head kick but it misses.
Sauna blocks a head kick by Rogers.
No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rogers misses with a combination
and Sauna connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Eric Rogers has been cut.
Sauna misses with a double jab.
A jab from Sauna misses.
Rogers looks to land a right hand but Sauna moved out of range.
Rogers lands a head kick!

Rogers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A head kick misses from Rogers.
Rogers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rogers throws a sloppy head kick and Sauna moves out of range easily.

Rogers throws a hook to the side of Sauna's head but Sauna sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sauna clinches with his opponent.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Rogers.
Sauna is looking for a takedown.
Rogers tries a body shot but Sauna blocks it.
Sauna has Rogers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rogers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rogers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sauna closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Sauna pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eric Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sauna.

Rogers gets tackled into the cage by Sauna. Sauna maintains the clinch.
Rogers has had enough of the clinch but Sauna keeps him there for the moment.
Sauna lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rogers backwards.
Sauna is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rogers looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Rogers unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Sauna blocks a body shot from Rogers.
A left hand lands to the body for Rogers.

Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Eric Rogers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sauna uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rogers.
Rogers scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Rogers lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sauna backs up against the cage.

Sauna is rocked!
Rogers cracks Sauna with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Sauna falls to his knees and Rogers doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
