Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold misses with a looping left.
A jab from Gold misses.
Gold throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gold thumps Connely with a low kick.
Connely checks the leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Connely. Gold does a little dance to reset his feet.
Connely connects with a nice looking jab.

Gold drives through with a takedown into Connely's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Connely wants to sweep here but Gold controlling him for the moment.
Gold makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gold working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Connely is looking for a triangle but Gold pushes his legs off easily.

Connely is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gold feints a jab promting Connely to slip. Gold then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Connely slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Chris Connely has been cut.
Connely throws out a loose jab but Gold uses good head movement to avoid it.

Connely throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gold shoots in for a double leg but Connely sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Connely dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gold turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gold connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Connely momentarily.
Connely swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gold lunges at Connely with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Connely's hand.

Chris Connely seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Connely counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Connely throws a jab but it's blocked by Gold.
Connely fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gold manages to avoid it.

A solid body kick from Gold.
Connely looks to land a left hand but Gold moved out of range nicely.
Gold uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Connely.
Gold lands with a hook. Connely tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Connely takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Connely is breathing heavily.
Gold tries to work over Connely's front leg with a kick but Connely checks it.
Chris Connely is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gold dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Connely. That did some damage!
Connely throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Connely checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Connely walks into a straight right hand from Gold.
Gold lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Connely staying out of range there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gold will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Connely stuns Gold with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gold connects with a solid leg kick.
Gold's jab looks to have found its range, popping Connely under the eye.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Gold dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Connely throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Connely is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Connely is rocked!
Gold fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Connely to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Connely looks to clinch but Gold throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Connely taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
