Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aj Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riviere Hinds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riviere Hinds has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Aj Smith's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aj Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riviere Hinds!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinds slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Hinds dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut!
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hinds lands a nice shot to the body.
Hinds is looking to score with low kicks.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.

Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hinds napping and manages to drive through into side control!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith is chipping away with strikes.
Smith throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Hinds works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Smith is looking for submissions but instead, Hinds has regained full guard.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Hinds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith looking to pass the guard.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hinds keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.

Hinds wants to sweep but no luck.
Smith passes Hinds's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Smith controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hinds manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hinds is trying to control. Smith wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hinds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hinds is aware though and is defending well.
Hinds connects with a couple of short punches.
Smith trying to keep a closed guard but Hinds is proving a slippery customer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith is looking for a triangle but Hinds pushes his legs off easily.
Hinds postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it.

Hinds got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hinds has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hinds's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hinds really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith looking for a guillotine here but Hinds defends easily.
Hinds slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aj Smith dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hinds fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hinds throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Hinds moved out of range.
Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Smith.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hinds throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice shot lands for Hinds.
Hinds misses with a kick to the body.
The fighters circling - Hinds throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hinds throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hinds tries to land a leg kick but Smith saw it coming and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hinds swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Hinds will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice defenses there by Smith.

Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hinds's guard.
Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Smith throws a big right hand that misses.
Hinds is trying to control the position but Smith postures up.
Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Smith is looking to work some ground and pound but Hinds has wrist control.
Smith controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Hinds gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hinds missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Smith controls Hinds momentarily but Hinds frees himself.
Hinds chips away with some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hinds working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Smith's head.
Oh Smith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hinds makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hinds postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Smith covers up, he's hurt! Hinds keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Hinds and the ref steps in to end the fight! Hinds can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Riviere Hinds!
