Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyroil Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Wallace misses

and Smith counters by clinching up.
Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wallace fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Smith lands with a nice combination. Wallace backs away looking to recover.

Smith closes the distance and pushes Wallace back into the cage.
Wallace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Smith after a bit of a struggle.
Wallace tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body.

Smith manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Wallace wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wallace is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.

Smith stands and steps away. Wallace gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smith prevents Wallace from standing back up.
Wallace trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Wallace pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace which made him look bad.

Wallace feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
