Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christian De Ertu!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Ertu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Stevenson wants to sweep but no luck.

De Ertu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevenson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

De Ertu wants to get up but he can't break Stevenson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
De Ertu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stevenson dives on top into guard.

Stevenson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but De Ertu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stevenson has De Ertu in his guard.

De Ertu postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Stevenson to stand up.

Stevenson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

De Ertu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stevenson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Ertu, into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
