Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuyuki Takimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quid comes to the cage accompanied by The Wicker Man. Takimoto has chosen Instrumental as his entrance music. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Johnny Quid had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takimoto thows a body shot but no joy.
An inside leg kick from Quid misses.
Quid throws a jab when Takimoto was well out of range.
Takimoto is looking to score with low kicks.
Takimoto swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Quid counters with a leg kick.
Kazuyuki Takimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quid leaves Takimoto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A punch lands to the side of Quid 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Takimoto shoots in and bounces Quid off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Quid wants to sweep here but Takimoto controlling him for the moment.

Takimoto drops back looking for a leg! Quid is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quid manages to kick Takimoto off! Takimoto jumps back into Quid's guard.

Quid tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Takimoto swivels and escapes.

Quid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takimoto on the ground.

Takimoto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Takimoto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Quid. That did some damage!
