The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rurikov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boykiy as he avoids it easily.
Rurikov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Boykiy. Boykiy obviously looking to wear him down.
Rurikov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rurikov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boykiy defends it nicely.
Dimas Boykiy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pavel Rurikov.
Boykiy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Boykiy throws a right hand that Rurikov ducks under and follows up with a left that Rurikov also avoids with ease.
Rurikov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boykiy swivels and escapes.
Boykiy throws a head kick that misses.
Boykiy lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Pavel Rurikov has been cut.
Rurikov fails with the takedown.

Boykiy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rurikov.
Both fighters circling a little - Boykiy finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Rurikov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Boykiy tries to kick Rurikov off but Rurikov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Boykiy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rurikov pulls his head out easily.

Boykiy is looking for a sweep. Rurikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rurikov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boykiy is just riding it out for now. Rurikov eventually gives up the hold.

Rurikov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Boykiy defend it? Rurikov steps over the head and cranks it - Boykiy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rurikov!
