The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka fails with a takedown attempt.
Benito swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tanaka.

Benito lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tanaka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Benito tries to avoid it but Tanaka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benito to the ground. Benito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tanaka tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Benito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Benito throws a nice looking combination but Tanaka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tanaka shoots in but no luck this time.
Tanaka gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Benito scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Benito stuffs the takedown.
Benito lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tanaka circles away quickly and effectively.

Benito lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Tanaka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tanaka swings around for an armbar but Benito sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tanaka's guard.

and Benito connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tanaka shoots in but Benito avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tanaka moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Amorsolo Benito showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Tanaka shoots for a takedown but Benito saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tanaka shoots for a double leg takedown but Benito sprawls well. He's pushed Tanaka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tanaka gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tanaka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Benito leaves Tanaka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Benito feints a jab promting Tanaka to slip. Benito then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tanaka slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Oh Tanaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benito plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Tanaka to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Tanaka just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Amorsolo Benito decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
