Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chuck Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock swinging wildly here.
Roberts slips a jab and a cross from Shamrock.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shamrock as he avoids it easily.
Shamrock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roberts moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roberts avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shamrock misses with a few strikes there.

Shamrock clinches up with Roberts and pushes him back against the cage.
Shamrock prevents a takedown attempt there.
Roberts has Shamrock pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shamrock manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shamrock lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Shamrock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shamrock lands with an uppercut that bounces Roberts off the cage and back into range.

Shamrock gets caught flat footed, as Roberts shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shamrock controls Roberts momentarily but Roberts frees himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shamrock can do anything to dispel that myth.
Roberts pushing down on Shamrock's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Roberts frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Roberts won't let Shamrock get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Roberts working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Roberts is working for a guillotine from mount but Shamrock frees his head quite easily.

Roberts is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Roberts!
