The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighiero fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alighiero connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gahan. Gahan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Gahan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Alighiero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alighiero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gahan shoots in but no luck this time.

Gahan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gahan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alighiero connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gahan scrambles back to his feet.

Gahan dives in and grabs Alighiero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alighiero pushes down on Gahan's head and hops out.

Gahan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alighiero finds it's way round the side to connect with Gahan's head.
Gahan shoots in looking for a takedown. Alighiero tries to sprawl out of it but Gahan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alighiero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Alighiero. That snapped Gahan's head back.
Alighiero fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gahan.

Alighiero cracks Gahan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gahan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Alighiero finish him?

Alighiero is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Alighiero lands a right hook to the body.
Alighiero and Gahan are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Alighiero throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Gahan into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Alighiero knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
