Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shim Changmin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanamichi Sakuragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shim Changmin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hanamichi Sakuragi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Changmin misses with a looping right.

Sakuragi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Changmin's waist but Changmin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sakuragi off to one side.

Sakuragi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sakuragi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Changmin in his tracks.
Hanamichi Sakuragi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sakuragi shoots in and drives through. Changmin sprawls well.
Changmin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sakuragi momentarily.

Sakuragi shoots in looking for a takedown. Changmin tries to sprawl out of it but Sakuragi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Changmin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Hanamichi Sakuragi has been cut.
Sakuragi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Changmin.

Sakuragi seems to have recovered his senses.
Changmin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Changmin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sakuragi.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sakuragi gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Changmin gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shim Changmin!
Shim Changmin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
