Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Wash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, The Beast!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beast is defended easily by Wash.
Beast fails with the takedown
and Wash counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wash goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Beast rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wash's guard! Nice work there by Beast!
Wash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beast on the ground.
Beast thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Beast is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wash is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wash has escaped and now he's on top!
Wash is looking to stand up but Beast won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wash trying to control but Beast is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wash pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Beast is keeping the position for now.
Wash looking to sit in guard and control but Beast gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Beast thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Beast is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wash is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wash has escaped and now he's on top!
Wash got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beast has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wash has managed to get both his arms back between Beast's legs - danger averted.
Beast manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wash manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beast drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Beast as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Wash screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Beast! Nice submission victory there!
