Jackson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Action Bronson - Barry Horowitz. Freeman has chosen Real American as his entrance music. Jeff Jackson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Freeman doesn't seem phased though.
Jeff Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freeman just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson misses with a shot to the body
and Freeman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Freeman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the cage. Freeman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Jeff Jackson has been cut.

Jackson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Jackson is keen to just control but Freeman is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jeff Jackson.
Jackson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Freeman in his tracks.

Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Freeman's head back.
Jackson thuds a left hand into Freeman's body.
Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Freeman at a distance.

Freeman tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Freeman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jackson was covering up waiting for the punch and Freeman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Freeman controlling him for the moment.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Freeman lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Jackson will probably get the nod.

Freeman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Freeman has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.

Freeman is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount.
Freeman is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

Freeman tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Freeman is looking to escape.
Freeman reaches up to try and control the position but Jackson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Freeman rolls and tries to escape and now Jackson has his back!

Jackson has the hooks in. Freeman is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Freeman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
You can see the frustration on Jackson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jeff Jackson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Freeman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Freeman prevents Jackson from getting the reversal.
Jackson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Freeman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jackson!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Freeman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jackson's face.


Jeez, Jeff Jackson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jeff Jackson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
