The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Nantakarn counters with a good low kick that Diaz was not able to check.

Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Nantakarn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Diaz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nantakarn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nantakarn slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nantakarn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diaz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Nantakarn counters with a head kick that drops Diaz to the mat! Diaz scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thahan Nantakarn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nantakarn throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tommy Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nantakarn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
