With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Liam Cosgrove!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cosgrove pinned against the cage. Cosgrove gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ardem fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cosgrove is out of range.
Cosgrove avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cosgrove tries for a takedown but Ardem circles away easily
and Ardem cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ardem doesn't manage to clinch there - Cosgrove circles away.
Ardem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ardem throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cosgrove.

It looks like Liam Cosgrove has been cut.
Cosgrove shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ardem as he jumps to the side.
Ardem throws a head kick that Cosgrove semi-blocks.

Cosgrove has a takedown stuffed.
Aftas Ardem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Cosgrove.
Ardem misses with an attempted mid kick.

Ardem gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cosgrove prevents Ardem from moving into mount.

Ardem wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cosgrove, who protects the arm well.

Ardem tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ardem has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ardem is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cosgrove has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cosgrove is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ardem has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ardem passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cosgrove!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cosgrove is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ardem looking to control but Cosgrove is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Ardem jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cosgrove manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ardem lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cosgrove will feel that in the morning.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ardem.

Cosgrove walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ardem.
Aftas Ardem is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cosgrove shoots in but Ardem avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ardem goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Aftas Ardem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ardem throws a wild body kick that Cosgrove sees coming a mile off.

Ardem pushes Cosgrove up against the cage in a clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ardem.
Ardem tries to land knees in the clinch but Cosgrove avoids the damage to the body.
Cosgrove jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ardem walks away with a smile on his face. Cosgrove gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Aftas Ardem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Cosgrove.
Cosgrove on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ardem. Ardem obviously looking to wear him down.
Ardem lands a front kick.
Cosgrove slips a jab and a cross from Ardem.

Ardem drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ardem works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cosgrove is breathing heavily.

Ardem looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cosgrove really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ardem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cosgrove is not content to let Ardem control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ardem throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
