Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Don't worry, Be happy. Audet is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Will.I.Am - T.H.E.. Nathan Audet told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Audet!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Castle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Castle slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Castle scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Castle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Audet takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Audet takes a jab right on the kisser.
Castle misses with a two punch combination.
A left and a right from Castle both land. Nice combination.
Castle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Audet.
Audet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Castle throws a series of punches but Audet moves out of range.

and Audet counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Audet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Audet has Castle pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Castle manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Frank Castle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Audet.
Audet takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Audet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castle paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Audet chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Castle can pounce on him.

Castle is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Castle looks to land a combination. Audet sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Audet fails in his attempt to clinch.
Audet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Castle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A nice inside leg kick there by Castle. That's going to slow Audet down.
Castle scores with a one two! Audet had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Audet shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castle sprawls well. Castle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Audet gets slowly back to his feet.
Castle pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Audet back to the cage. Castle follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Audet is rocked!
Audet is trying desperately to land a takedown but Castle is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Audet.
Audet shoots for a double leg takedown but Castle sprawls well. He's pushed Audet's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Castle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Audet circles away quickly and effectively.
Castle is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Castle is working the combinations to good effect here.
Audet looks gassed!
Audet shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castle as he jumps to the side.
Castle lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Audet takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Audet has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Castle finds it's way round the side to connect with Audet's head.
Castle moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Castle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Castle misses with a series of wild punches.
Audet tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Castle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Audet.
Castle jabs Audet to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice straight punches there by Castle. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Castle.
Audet needs to keep his hands up - Castle had a free shot at his head there.
Frank Castle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castle throws a nice looking combination but Audet bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Castle is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Castle circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Castle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Audet throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Castle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Audet is in Castle's guard.
Audet lands a couple of digs.
Audet wants to pass the guard but Castle is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Audet defends well.

Castle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Audet is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Audet loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle misses with a few strikes there.
Audet seems to have recovered his senses.
Castle throws a series of punches but Audet avoids them all with ease.

Castle ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Castle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Castle lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Audet at a distance.
Audet is breathing heavily.
Audet takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Castle closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Audet seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Castle shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Audet is backing up but Castle catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Audet covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Castle Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Castle!
An intense looking Frank Castle took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Win or Lose, Women and Booze!'.
