The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Hanks tries for a takedown but Stan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Donk. Stan catches Hanks right on the button with a cross.
Hanks throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stan counters with a body kick.
Hanks throws a head kick that misses.
Stan lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Antonio Hanks has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stan moves out of range of the leg kick from Hanks.
Hanks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hanks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hanks.
Stan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hanks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stan moves away.
Stan lands a jab-cross combination.
No joy there for Stan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hanks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Stan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Hanks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Good leg kick by Stan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hanks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stan and Hanks are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Stan throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Hanks into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Stan knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
