Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Marceau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Marceau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marceau fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farmer avoids it really well and circles away.
Farmer cracks a nice hook into Marceau's ribs.

and Farmer counters with a shoot takedown. Marceau fights it but they end up in guard.

and Farmer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marceau's guard.

Marceau has his foot on Farmer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Farmer works his way back into a safe position though.

Farmer gets to his feet. Marceau looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Farmer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Farmer lands in his opponent's guard.

Marceau wants to sweep but no luck.
Farmer pushes down on Marceau's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Marceau moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marceau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Farmer pinned against the cage. Farmer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Farmer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Farmer wants it to stay on the feet.
Marceau doesn't manage to clinch there - Farmer circles away.
Marceau will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
