And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abbott swivels and escapes.

A decent looking cross lands there for Lee.
Abbott showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lee.
David Lee Abbott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abbott circles away quickly and effectively.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Abbott on the side of the head.
Lee misses with a series of wild punches.

Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee tries to bum rush Abbott with a series of wild strikes but Abbott uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lee throws a right hand that Abbott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abbott also avoids with ease.
Abbott shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Abbott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lee throws a series of punches but Abbott avoids them all with ease.

Oooh a lovely combination from Lee sends Abbott down but not out. Lee dives into side control looking to finish.

Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Abbott is breathing heavily.
Lee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Abbott to see if he's OK.

Abbott pushes Lee away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lee gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Check out the look on Lee's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Abbott avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lee.

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Abbott, who protects the arm well.

Lee tries to score with some ground and pound. Abbott controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ground and pound from Lee seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abbott has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Abbott sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee controls Abbott momentarily but Abbott frees himself.

Abbott is pushing Lee's head away, looking to escape. Lee manages to hold on to the position though.

Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abbott has escaped the position, nice work there.
An elbow from Lee crashes against the mat.

Lee has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Abbott is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lee yanks on the arm and Abbott is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lee.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lex Lee!
Lex Lee bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
