Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longoria tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ryan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Longoria throws a right and a left that Ryan avoids nicely.
Longoria takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Ray Longoria has been cut.

Longoria shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Longoria showed some decent athleticism there.

Longoria escapes and gets back to his feet.
Ryan fails with a takedown attempt.

Longoria shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryan's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Longoria is controlling him.
Longoria might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ryan controls Longoria momentarily but Longoria frees himself.
Longoria stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ryan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Longoria has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ryan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Longoria's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ryan has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Longoria should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ryan has tightened it up now! Longoria should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
